SUMMARY:National Prescription Drug Take Back Day
DESCRIPTION:According to the 2017 National Survey on Drug Use and Health\, 6 million Americans misused controlled prescription drugs. The study shows that a majority of abused prescription drugs were obtained from family and friends\, often from the home medicine cabinet. \nThe DEA’s Take Back Day events provide an opportunity for Americans to prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths.

DESCRIPTION:Join the largest\, single-day waterway cleanup in Texas on Saturday\, March 30\, 2019. It’s fun\, free\, and family-friendly. We supply gloves\, trash bags\, t-shirts\, and lunch for our volunteers.\nRegistration: 8:00 – 8:30am\nClean-up: 9:00 – 11:45am\nLunch/Prizes: 11:45am – 1:00pm\nArea to be Cleaned\nBanks of Dickinson Bayou and tributaries\, drainage ditches and swells leading to the bayous.\n\nDescription of Cleanup\nRegistration begins at 8am\, and you will be given gloves\, trash bags\, water\, and a location to go clean. Return around 11:45 am to turn in any borrowed supplies\, dump trash\, etc.\, and grab some lunch. Around noon\, we will giveaway a ton of door prizes! Wet & muddy conditions typical\, so where appropriate clothing and footwear.
